Account Notifications

What are email notifications?

Email notifications are a safe and convenient way for Capital One 360 to communicate with you about your 360 Checking. Since 360 Checking is really a self-service account, it just makes sense to give you control over what emails you would like to receive.

How do I set up or stop receiving 360 Checking email notifications?

To set up or stop receiving 360 Checking email reminders:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Click on the ‘Alerts & Messages' tab and go to 'Manage Alerts'
  3. Select (or deselect) the notification that you want to receive

What type of Bill Pay email notifications can I receive?

You can set up email notifications to notify you when:

  • A bill is due 
  • An eBill is received 
  • The next instance of a recurring payment is automatically scheduled 
  • A payment has not been made by the day the payment is due 
  • A recurring payment has been sent

How do I set up or stop receiving Bill Pay email notifications?

To set up or stop receiving Bill Pay email reminders:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Select the 'Payments' tab
  3. Click on ‘Bill Pay’ and then on ‘Manage My Bills'
  4. Select the biller you’d like to receive email notifications about
    • If you don’t have automatic payments set up for this biller, select ‘Set up reminders for this bill’
    • If you do have automatic payments set up for this biller, select ‘Update automatic payment’
  5. Select or deselect the email notifications you’d like to receive and click ‘Save Changes’

I’m not receiving email notifications – why?

  • Do we have your most updated email address? Follow these instructions to provide us with your most updated email address and to verify it:

    1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
    2. Click on the ‘My Info’ tab at the top of the page
    3. Click on the ‘Edit Information’ link in the ‘Email Information’ section
    4. Type in your current email address and click on ‘Save’
    5. Respond to the email that you receive

  • Check your email address on file – it may contain a typo.
  • Many Internet Service Providers (ISP's) employ SPAM filters that occasionally mistake Capital One 360 email notifications for SPAM. Check your junk mail folder if you don't see our message in your inbox and mark it as "not junk mail".
  • If you use anti-SPAM software, add ‘saver@capitalone360.com’ and ’billpay@capitalone360.com’ to your address book or approved senders list to ensure delivery of Capital One 360 emails.

Why don’t I get emails about my recurring payments anymore?

We're giving you more flexibility around what email reminders you receive. If you want to receive an email reminder when a recurring payment is sent:

  1. Click on ‘Bill Pay’ and then select the ‘Manage My Bills’ tab
  2. Select the biller you want to receive email reminders for
  3. Select the ‘Set up reminders for this bill’ option
  4. You can choose to receive an email when the payment is scheduled and when the payment is sent

What are text alerts?

Text alerts are a safe and convenient way for Capital One 360 to communicate with you about your MONEY or 360 Checking. We’ll shoot you a text message for any of the text alerts you select to your mobile phone.

How do I stop receiving text alerts?

To stop receiving text alerts:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Click on the 'Alerts & Messages' tab
  3. Go to the 'Manage Alerts' tab
  4. Un-check the boxes for the alerts you want to stop receiving

You can also text ‘HELP’ to 728464 for additional instructions or ‘STOP’ to stop receiving text alerts.

How do I set up my text alerts?

To set up text alerts:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Click on the ‘Alerts & Messages' tab
    1. If you don't have a mobile phone on file, click 'Add Mobile Phone' to add one
    2. If you already have a mobile phone on file, but it's not enrolled, click 'Enroll' to go through the process
  3. Click on the 'Manage Alerts' tab
  4. Check the boxes for the alerts you want to receive and click 'Save'

What type of alerts can I receive?

You can also choose to receive any of the following alerts via email or text message:

  • Card Transaction Alert – Receive a text/email alert any time a card purchase or ATM withdrawal is made over the dollar amount you set (limit must be set greater than $1)
  • Time to Deposit More Money – Receive a text/email alert if your balance goes below the dollar amount you set
