How do I add a joint account holder to my 360 Checking?

To add a joint account holder online:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Click on your 360 Checking
  3. Go to the 'Account Details' tab
  4. Next to 'Secondary Account Holder', click 'Add' and follow the steps

The joint account holder you're adding will receive their own Customer Number and PIN as part of this process.

Please Note: If the joint account holder you’re adding is an existing Capital One 360 Customer, they will be asked to enter their Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN as part of the process if you choose the option to complete the process together.

In order for the joint account holder to transfer money in or out of the account, they must have a linked account.

Customers under the age of 18 cannot be added to 360 Checking. In addition, Customers can only have one 360 Checking.

How do I remove a joint account holder from my 360 Checking?

You can remove a joint account holder online by following the below steps.  If you need to delete any pending transactions, recurring transfers or bill payments that your joint account holder set up, please do so first before removing them.

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Click on your 360 Checking
  3. Go to the 'Account Details' tab
  4. Select 'Change' next to your joint account holder and follow the steps

The joint account holder you’re removing will be asked to enter their Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN as part of the process if you choose the option to complete the process together.

In addition, your joint account holder’s 360 Checking Card will be automatically deactivated once they’re removed from the account. You will also be responsible for all pending card transactions, future dated bill payments and any pending or future dated Person2Person payments regardless of who set them up.

Please note: In order to complete this process, we may obtain information about the remaining account holder from a consumer reporting agency.  Based on that information, we’ll determine if the remaining account holder is eligible to have the account and an Overdraft Line of Credit on their own.

How do I add a joint account holder to my 360 Savings?

To add a joint account holder online:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN.
  2. Click on the account that you'd like to add a joint account holder to.
  3. Go to the 'Account Details' tab.
  4. Click 'Add' next to 'Secondary Account Holder' and follow the steps.

Can I add someone's name to my mortgage?

Yes, you can add someone to the title of the property by executing a deed of transfer. You may want to consult an attorney to have this done. You can only add someone to liability for the loan through an assumption Opens a new window or refinance.

How do I provide you authorization to discuss my loan(s) with my spouse or a third party?

In order to discuss your loan with a third party or spouse who isn't on the loan, we need your signed authorization. Please send a letter to our Customer Service Opens a new window department, signed by all parties on the loan, with the specific names of those authorized to receive information.

How do I remove my ex-spouse from my loan?

An ex-spouse’s name can be removed from our billing records by providing us with a copy of the divorce decree and deed transferring title. The ex-spouse can only be relieved of liability for repayment of the loan through an assumption Opens a new window or refinance.
