Direct Deposit

How do I set up Direct Deposit?

Yes, you can set up Direct Deposit one of three ways:

  1. Give your Capital One 360 Account Number and our Routing Number, 031176110, to your employer.
  2. Print our blank Direct Deposit form Opens a new window and fill in your information.
  3. Access our pre-filled Direct Deposit form after signing into capitalone360.com with your Username (Saver ID)/Customer Number and PIN, clicking your account and going to the 'Forms' tab. Simply print it out, fill it in and give it to your employer.

Remember, you can choose to have all or only a portion of your paycheck direct deposited.

What is Capital One 360's Bank Routing Number?

Our Bank Routing Number is 031176110. This is the same routing number for your checking, savings, business, personal loan and home equity accounts. If you are setting up a direct deposit, please make sure you use your Account Number, NOT your Customer Number.

However, if you have a mortgage and want to make your mortgage payments electronically from another bank, you'll need to use the Capital One Home Loan Routing Number for your payments: 255071981.

What is the difference between a Customer Number and Account Number?

Your Customer Number is a unique number that identifies you as a Capital One 360 Customer. You can only have one Customer Number and joint holders do not share Customer Numbers.

You can find your Customer Number 24/7:

  • On the first page of your Capital One 360 statement.
  • In the top right corner of the ‘My Info’ tab after signing in to capitalone360.com.
  • Calling our Interactive Phone Service at 1-888-464-7868.

Your Account Number identifies each Capital One 360 account you may have and is often used to set up transactions like Direct Deposit, paying bills or making purchases. You can have more than one Account Number.

You can find your Account Number:

  • On your Capital One 360 statement under ‘Your Savings Summary’.
  • In the third column of your account(s) summary on the ‘My Accounts’ tab after signing into capitalone360.com.

When do deposits start accruing interest and how long are they on hold?

Interest starts accruing on your deposit starting the next business day after being processed.

All deposits into a 360 Savings and Kids Savings Account are subject to a 5 business day hold before they can be withdrawn. For security reasons, your initial deposit used to fund the account is on hold and unavailable for withdrawal for 10 business days.

Note: Your initial deposit must clear the initial 10 business day hold time before any additional deposits become available. For example, if you make your initial deposit on December 8th and make an additional deposit December 11th, both deposits will be on hold until the first deposit clears the initial 10 business day hold.

Electronic deposits that are automatically initiated outside the bank – like Direct Deposit or Social Security benefits – are available immediately. Transfers between Capital One 360 and Capital One Bank accounts are also available immediately. Both begin earning interest right away.

Deposits into 360 Checking are slightly different. Learn more.
