Put simply, the Message Center allows Customers to receive one-way communications containing sensitive account information from Capital One 360. In order to access the message, you must first sign in to our secure website ensuring your information remains confidential.
To access a message:
Absolutely. The information sent through the Message Center is kept safe and secure through a technology called Secure Socket Layers, or SSL. SSL secures your information by providing “certificates” of data, verifying that your browser is actually communicating with our website, capitalone360.com, rather than a “hacker” who is attempting to replicate our site.
We’re providing the Message Center so you can securely (and quickly) receive confidential Capital One 360 account information. From the moment you sign in to your account until your sign out, all information is kept secure.
No additional software is required. The Message Center is offered through a secure internet connection, same as signing in to capitalone360.com. You don’t have to do a thing.
No. Once you initially sign in to capitalone360.com, you won’t be asked to validate your PIN or Security Questions again to access the Message Center. Simply click on the 'Alerts & Messages' tab to access your messages.
Once you view a message, it will be marked as ’Read’ and will automatically be deleted after 90 days.
Yes. Any messages still in your Message Center will be automatically deleted after 90 days.
Nope. Using the Message Center will have no affect on the other ways you communicate with us. It just provides you with a secure channel to receive one-way communications that may contain account information.
We’ll send you an email to your email address on file alerting you that you have a message in the Message Center. You’ll also see a message once you sign in to capitalone360.com reminding you to go to the Message Center.
Yes, you must have a valid email address on file to use the Message Center. We’ll need this in order to alert you about any new messages you may have.
To add your email address:
You can view and edit the email address we have on file by clicking the ‘My Info’ tab. If you haven’t verified your email address, you’ll see a ‘Verify’ button next to the current email address displayed. To verify your email address, click the button and we’ll send you an email with a link you can click on to verify it.
Click on the attachment file name in the message. A pop-up window will appear asking you to open or save the file to your computer.
