What is the Message Center?

Put simply, the Message Center allows Customers to receive one-way communications containing sensitive account information from Capital One 360. In order to access the message, you must first sign in to our secure website ensuring your information remains confidential.

How do I access the Message Center?

To access a message:

  1. Sign in to with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Click on the 'Alerts & Messages' tab and go to ‘Message Center’
  3. Click on ‘Subject’ line of the email you’d like to read

Is it safe to receive messages through the Message Center?

Absolutely. The information sent through the Message Center is kept safe and secure through a technology called Secure Socket Layers, or SSL. SSL secures your information by providing “certificates” of data, verifying that your browser is actually communicating with our website,, rather than a “hacker” who is attempting to replicate our site.

Is it safe to include personal and account information in a message?

We’re providing the Message Center so you can securely (and quickly) receive confidential Capital One 360 account information.  From the moment you sign in to your account until your sign out, all information is kept secure.

Do I need to have a certain program to use the Message Center?

No additional software is required. The Message Center is offered through a secure internet connection, same as signing in to You don’t have to do a thing.

Do I have to verify additional information after initially signing in to access the Message Center?

No. Once you initially sign in to, you won’t be asked to validate your PIN or Security Questions again to access the Message Center. Simply click on the 'Alerts & Messages' tab to access your messages. 

What will happen to a message after I view it?

Once you view a message, it will be marked as ’Read’ and will automatically be deleted after 90 days.

Will my messages be automatically deleted after a certain period of time?

Yes. Any messages still in your Message Center will be automatically deleted after 90 days.

Will using the Message Center affect the other ways I communicate with you already?

Nope. Using the Message Center will have no affect on the other ways you communicate with us. It just provides you with a secure channel to receive one-way communications that may contain account information.

How will I know if I received a message?

We’ll send you an email to your email address on file alerting you that you have a message in the Message Center.  You’ll also see a message once you sign in to reminding you to go to the Message Center.

Do I need to have an email address on file to use the Message Center?

Yes, you must have a valid email address on file to use the Message Center.  We’ll need this in order to alert you about any new messages you may have.

To add your email address:

  1. Sign in to with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN
  2. Select the ‘My Info’ tab
  3. Click ‘Edit Information’ in the ‘Email Information’ section and follow the steps

How can I verify that my email address on file is accurate?

You can view and edit the email address we have on file by clicking the ‘My Info’ tab. If you haven’t verified your email address, you’ll see a ‘Verify’ button next to the current email address displayed. To verify your email address, click the button and we’ll send you an email with a link you can click on to verify it.

How do I download an attachment you’ve sent me?

Click on the attachment file name in the message. A pop-up window will appear asking you to open or save the file to your computer.
