What is an Automatic Savings Plan?

An Automatic Savings Plan allows you to maximize your savings by having a fixed amount of money regularly transferred from your linked checking account to your 360 Checking, MONEY, 360 Savings or Kids Savings Account. You can even set up automatic transfers from your 360 Checking to your 360 Savings. Set yours up during the account opening process or anytime after signing in to capitalone360.com.

How do I set up an Automatic Savings Plan?

To maximize your savings, you can request to automatically have a fixed amount of money regularly transferred to your high interest 360 Savings from your linked checking account. You’ll be saving your money effortlessly.

To set up an Automatic Savings Plan:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com using your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN.
  2. Click on the 'Automatic Savings Plan' tab and select 'Start Saving' from the 'How It Works' tab.
  3. Choose the amount you want to save, how often you'd like it deposited and the start date.

If you’d like to change or delete your Automatic Savings Plan, simply click on your plan and select the 'Change' or 'Delete' button. Remember to make changes more than one business day before the transfer is scheduled to occur.

Is there a minimum amount or frequency for the Automatic Savings Plan?

Capital One 360 does not have any minimum deposit requirements. You choose the amount you want to save and when you want to save it. The frequency can be monthly, bi-weekly and weekly, or you can set up more than one Automatic Savings Plan to get the frequency you’d like.

How do I create, edit or cancel an Automatic Savings Plan?

To set up an Automatic Savings Plan:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN.
  2. Click on the 'Automatic Savings Plan' tab and select 'Start Saving' from the 'How It Works' tab.
  3. Choose the amount you want to save, how often you'd like it deposited and the start date.

To edit the transaction start date or amount of an Automatic Savings Plan:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN.
  2. Go to the 'Automatic Savings Plan' tab and go to 'Savings Plans.' 
  3. Click on the savings plan you want to edit and click 'Change' in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Enter the new start date or amount.

To change the From Account, To Account or Frequency of an Automatic Savings Plan you'll need to first delete it and set a new one up. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN.
  2. Go to the 'Automatic Savings Plan' tab and click 'Savings Plans.'
  3. Click on the savings plan you want to cancel and click 'Delete' in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Set up a new Automatic Savings Plan.

To cancel an Automatic Savings Plan:

  1. Sign in to capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN.
  2. Go to the 'Automatic Savings Plan' tab and click 'Savings Plans.'
  3. Click on the savings plan you want to cancel and click 'Delete' in the upper right-hand corner.

Please Note: If you cancel an Automatic Savings Plan, ALL future occurrences of the transaction will be deleted. Be sure to make your cancel request 24 hours before the planned transfer.

Why do Automatic Savings Plan transactions show on my Capital One 360 statement on different days than they show on my checking account statement?

We post the transaction on the date we request your funds. Your checking account bank will typically receive this request 2 business days later. Remember, if the scheduled transfer falls on a bank holiday, the transaction occurs the next business day.

Can I set up Direct Deposit?

Yes, you can set up Direct Deposit one of three ways:

  • Give your Capital One 360 Account Number and our Routing Number, 031176110, to your employer.
  • Print our blank Direct Deposit form Opens a new window and fill in your information.
  • You can access our pre-filled Direct Deposit form after signing into capitalone360.com with your Customer Number/Saver ID (Username) and PIN, clicking your account and going to the 'Forms' tab. Simply print it out, fill it out and give it to your employer.

Remember, you can choose to have all or only a portion of your paycheck direct deposited.
