Is there an easy way to keep tabs on my payments?

Yep, your Payments Overview page is a one-stop shop where you can set up payments and see your scheduled, pending and recent payment history for bills and loans - all from the same page. To see your Payments Overview just:
1. Sign in to
2. Click on the ‘Payments’ tab
3. Select ‘Overview’

How do I add, change or delete an Automatic Payment Plan?

To set up an Automatic Payment Plan:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Go to the 'Payments' tab and select 'Pay a Loan'
  3. Choose your 'From Account' and select the 'Pay Bi-Weekly/Monthly (recurring)' option (Keep in mind, the bi-weekly option isn't available for all loan types)

To delete an Automatic Payment Plan:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Click on your mortgage from the 'My Accounts' tab
  3. Click the red “X” next to the Automatic Payment Plan you want to delete

Can I set up a recurring payment plan for my Auto Loan?

Yes, to save time and money you can set up a recurring payment plan, also known as DirectPay. You can have your payments regularly deducted from your external checking account or other Capital One 360 or Capital One Retail account. You never ever have to worry about making a late payment or a payment getting lost after you put it in the mailbox.

To set up your plan:

1. Sign in to 

2. Click the 'Payments' tab. 

3. Select the Recurring Payments Option

4. Set up your payment to pull for any of these options: 


Every other week


Twice a month

You’ll also have the option to add additional principal to each payment. And, it’s easy to change or cancel if your needs change down the road.

How does the Mail a Check feature work?

It’s an online checkbook, so it works just like your paper checkbook, except here you’re writing a check with your computer, not your pen. No stamp. No envelope. No running to the post office. Just fill in the payment details and to whom the check should be sent. We’ll send the check via first-class U.S. Mail the next business day – at no cost to you. That means it’s more convenient for you and saves you money too.

NOTE: In order to send your payments as efficiently as possible, if the recipient of a payment you initiated using the Mail a Check feature can receive payments electronically, we will send it electronically.

To Mail a Check:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Select the ‘Payments' tab
  3. Select ‘Mail a Check’ 
  4. Enter the check information – name, send date, amount, etc.


I need to pay my landlord. They don't accept payments electronically. Help!

Rent is a bill like any other, so you can use Bill Pay:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Click on the ‘Payments' tab and then on ‘Bill Pay’
  3. Add your landlord to Bill Pay
  4. Find your landlord in the Bill Pay Center, enter the rent amount and click on ‘Make Payments’
  5. A check will be sent to your landlord, it's that easy!

You could even set up an automatic payment to go out every month so you don’t have to think about it. You'll save time and money – no stamps, no envelope, no having to go put it in the mail slot. To set up an automatic payment:

  1. Click the ‘Auto Pay’ link in Bill Pay next to your landlord's name
  2. Choose ‘Set Up Auto Pay’

Can I make recurring payments on my home loan?

Yes, to save time and money, you can set up an Automatic Payment Plan and have your payments regularly transferred from your external account or other Capital One 360 account to your home loan. You never ever have to worry about making a late payment or a payment getting lost after you put it in the mailbox.

To set up your plan:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Click the 'Payments' tab.
  3. Choose 'Pay a Loan' and select the 'Pay Monthly (recurring)' option.

It’s easy to change or discontinue if your needs should change down the road.
